  6. I remember when my girls were that young and starting to try to tell jokes. I bought a couple of books with kids jokes in them, because they were driving me nuts with the ones they made up. They never even made sense. My kids' favorite was the banana one: Knock-knock who's there? banana banana who? knock-knock who's there? banana banana who? It goes on and on until you "answerer" starts getting irritated. Then you change it: knock-knock who's there? orange orange who? orange you glad I didn't say banana again
  7. My oldest was about 3 when he started and he still loves them today. He has taught my youngest them already. His favorite is the Boo but he says, "you don't have to cry it's only me" at the end.
  8. Sometime between 2 1/2 & 3...she graduated to regular jokes now though. How do you get a chicken on your head? How? You put it in your mouth.... She laughs herself silly....it's too cute and you simply have to laugh along....
  9. My son started making up knock knock jokes when he was two, but they had no punchline. For example, "Knock knock. - Who's there? (pause) Grandpa!" followed by hysterical laughter on his part. The only way to get him to stop was to say, "Nobody's home, come back later." An old favorite is the "orange you glad I didn't say banana one." For some reason, kids love it.
  10. My daughter was 2 when she first started saying knock knock jokes. I loved it when she told me her first one. It was: knock Knock who's there Orange Orange Who Aren't you glad I didn't say banana! She would laugh so hard when she was done. Then she would just make stuff up to add from there.
